Photometric and Spectroscopic Evolution of the Type IIP Supernova: SN 2017eaw in NGC 6946

The NGC 6946, also known as the Fireworks Galaxy at 6Mpc, is the most prolific galaxy for SNe. The SN2017eaw, the 10th SNe occurred in this galaxy is a Type IIp Supernovae. We analyzed optical photometric and spectroscopic measurements of SN 2017eaw from 1 to 302d after the explosion. The light curves and spectra suggest that SN2017eaw is a typical type IIP event, with a plateau phase duration of ~80 days and a maximum absolute magnitude of Mv ~ -17. In this poster, we will present our analysis result and an optimal model for the progenitor of SN 2017eaw.
