X-ray analysis of the GRS 1915+105

GRS 1915+105 is a X-ray binary star system which features a regular star and a black hole. It was discovered on August 15, 1992 by the WATCH all-sky monitor aboard Granat, showing the longest transient outburst from an X-ray binary as of yet. However, since 2018 GRS 1915+105 has transform into an extended low flux X-ray plateau that appears to have entered a low-luminosity and chaotic canonical hard state. Hence, we present the spectral and Empirical Mode Decomposition timing analysis of X-ray observations performed on the black hole transient GRS 1915+105 until now(MJD=59143) and discuss the differences between the low/soft state and the low flux X-ray plateau state.
