Abstract

Pulsar Timing Analysis of the NICER Observations of the Accreting Millisecond Pulsar IGR J17591-2342

We present our timing analysis results of the accreting millisecond X-ray pulsar (AMXP) IGR J17591-2342 observed by Neutron Star Interior Composition ExploreR (NICER). During its 2018 outburst, a series of observations were made by NICER from August to October, 2018. Two rebrightenings during the observations can be seen from the NICER light curve. In this research, we process the pulsar timing analyze for these two rebrightenings separately to yield the corresponding spin and orbital parameters. In addition, a model to reduce the flux-dependent timing noise, which is often seen in AMXPs, proposed by Kulkarni & Romanova (2013), was also included.
