2003 Symposium of the Chinese
Astronomical Society (Taiwan)

As part of the 2003 Assembly of the Chinese Astronomical Society
(Taiwan),
the CAST symposium will serve as an annual meeting for astronomers and
astrophysicists in Taiwan to exchange their ideas, to present their recent
research, and to promote their collaborations. There are 16 oral
presentations
and 41 posters in various fields of astronomy and astrophysics this year.
In addition, we are also pleased to have four invited talks given by
Dr. Norio Kaifu (NAOJ), Dr. Paul Ho (ASIAA), Dr. Masato Ishiguro
(NAOJ),and Dr. Alex Fridman (Russian Academy). The program and

The Program Committee sincerely invite you to participate.
Since other activities of the Assembly will be held on April 19, all
invited talks and oral presentations of this symposium are scheduled on
April 18. The poster display starts from 9:00, April 18, and ends at
17:30,
April 19. Late registrations are acceptable on site.
The board size for each poster is 85cm x 115cm.
Those who intend to use electronic files in their oral
presentations, e.g. with PowerPoint etc., should up-load their files via
the symposium web page or contact Dr. King (skking@asiaa.sinica.edu.tw)
by April 16, Wednesday. All such presentations will use the laptop
provided
by the Symposium. Overhead projectors for transparencies are also
available.
The registration fee, NTD500, or NTD800 including banquet, should be
paidon site. The symposium banquet will be held at Howard International
House from 18:00, April 18.
